About
One Jackson Road Chambers
One Jackson Road Chambers is a boutique set of barristers' chambers founded in 2026.
Our members have appeared in landmark cases that have become leading authorities across diverse areas of law, including insolvency, asset recovery, professional liability, criminal law and procedure, and shareholders' disputes.
Several of our members are recognized in prestigious legal directories such as Legal 500, Chambers & Partners, and Doyle's Guide. Members have also contributed to legal scholarship by authoring and editing publications on arbitration, civil procedure, and reciprocal enforcement of judgments.
Some of our members have been instructed to give expert evidence on Hong Kong law in foreign court and arbitration proceedings. Barristers at One Jackson Road Chambers recognise the importance of their roles within the justice system of Hong Kong and beyond. We aim to offer practical and focussed solutions while remaining attentive to the commercial realities faced by our clients and instructing solicitors. We pride ourselves on efficiency, thoroughness, and our ability to deliver forceful yet balanced advocacy on behalf of those we represent.

Pupillage
Pupillage
1JRC invites applications from candidates who have completed or are enrolled in the Postgraduate Certificate in Laws (PCLL) who intend to practise at the Hong Kong Bar. Pupils work closely with their pupil master and other members of Chambers and may assist with legal research, drafting, case preparation, and court work.
Applicants for pupillage should normally apply approximately 12 months before the intended commencement of pupillage. Candidates are assessed on merit.
Mini-Pupillage
1JRC generally offers two-week mini-pupillages to law students interested in practising at the Hong Kong Bar. Most mini-pupillages are offered during the summer months.
Mini-pupillage provides an opportunity to observe the work of practising barristers and gain insight into life at the Bar. Mini-pupils may attend court hearings, observe conferences (subject to client consent), and undertake limited legal research or drafting tasks at the discretion of their supervising barrister.
